has been designed for couples experiencing difficulty in making
babies. The web facilitators have been working in the fertility
world for many years and have a wealth of experience in treating,
supporting, informing and advising patients, both in the clinic and
through the medium of high quality quarterly glossy magazines. For
non-members this site provides free access to basic
information. There will also be an online shop where test kits,
books and nutritional supplements will be available in due course.

Sammy Lee

Dr Sammy Lee BSc (Hons), PhD is a clinical embryologist,
author and broadcaster who obtained his doctorate from University
College, London University.
He was on the executive committee of the British Infertility
Counselling Association (1993-1995). Also executive committee member
of infertility charity, Issue (1999-2002). He is a Fellow of both
the Institute of Biomedical Scientists and the Royal
Society of Medicine. He was the Scientific Consultant to the
Portland Hospital Fertility Unit in Central London, where he
directed the sperm microinjection programme (ICSI).
Originally a classically trained embryologist carrying out
research in the Anatomy department of UCL, he has been working as a
consultant clinical scientist in the field of human IVF for over
twenty years, holding senior posts in major centres such as the
Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, the Homerton Hospital, the
Wellington Hospital and the Bourn Hallam Medical Centres in
Central London. In 1992, he received a diploma in fertility
counselling from the London Hospital Medical College (based at the
Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel). He is recognised
internationally as having a special interest in male infertility and
has published numerous articles in scientific and medical journals.
As a respected author on male infertility, he has often appeared
on television, radio and in the press. He is also the author of
the book “Counselling in Male Infertility” published by Blackwells
and more recently has been a major contributor to a book entitled
“The Miraculous World of Your Unborn Baby” (Bramley Books, 1998).
Currently, Sammy is a lecturer in human embryology in the Anatomy
department at University College London. He is now in private
practice in central London.
